CHLD504 Child Medication Admin 6.5 This course is designed to address the principles and skills needed to administer medications to children. It is specifically designed for personnel working in Iowa child care businesses. It addresses the administration of oral medications, eye drops and ointments, ear drops, nasal drops and sprays, rectal medication, topical creams/ointment, nebulizer treatments and metered-dose inhalers. The course does NOT address the giving of injectable insulin for the diabetic child. Students will schedule lab time with instructor 1st night of class.
