Does working in the medical field sound exciting to you? Let us help you get started in your career. DMACC Continuing Education offers several short-term non-credit competency-based training programs designed to help you enter the medical field.

Medical Office Billing Training – in this 60-hour course you learn the basics of health insurance, coding, medical terminology, and CPT and ICD-9 codes used for the reimbursement of claims. this course is offered in Spring and Summer terms.

Medical Unit Clerk - this 76-hour course provides training in the role and responsibilities for the position of a hospital unit clerk. Training includes 16 hrs. clinical observation in a hospital setting.

Sterile Processing Supply Tech - in this 60-hour course you will learn how to decontaminate and sterilize instruments and equipment in the Central Service/Sterile Processing department. This course is offered only in the Fall term.
