Are you ready to pledge green?

DMACC Operation Green

Des Moines Area Community College
GREEN PLEDGE

You are invited to take Des Moines Area Community College’s Green Pledge, which recognizes individuals who promote environmental sustainability. Like other Colleges across the country with similar pledges, we aim to foster, as a community, a deep commitment to environmental and sustainable issues. At the February 2009 district-wide in-service, all pledge participants will be recognized with a green ribbon and recite the pledge together. Des Moines Area Community College students who are graduating in spring 2009 will be recognized with a special Earth Pin and Certificate. As a pledge participant you are voluntarily committing to the following:

“I pledge to use the knowledge and skills that I have acquired to improve and sustain the natural world and resources around me. Furthermore I pledge to minimize the impact of my ecological footprint and promise to take action to fulfill this commitment.”

Please check one or more of the following items.  You do NOT need to pledge to all of the items. You can pick and choose whatever items fit best with what they can do. The most important thing is start to do something.
